My Journey from Sociology Student to Social Impact Professional

Starting my journey in sociology at Sebelas Maret University, I never imagined how transformative this path would be. What began as academic curiosity about social structures and human behavior evolved into a passionate commitment to creating positive change in communities.

The Academic Foundation

My undergraduate years were filled with theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, and countless hours analyzing social phenomena. But it was the practical applications that truly ignited my passion. Through courses on social research, community development, and organizational sociology, I began to see how academic knowledge could translate into real-world impact.

First Steps into Professional Practice

The transition from classroom to professional practice came through my internship at Yayasan Kakak, an NGO focused on child protection. This experience opened my eyes to the complexities of social work and the importance of evidence-based interventions. Working directly with children and families, I learned that sociology isn't just about understanding society—it's about actively working to improve it.

Building Skills Through Experience

My role as a Facilitator Assistant at BTPN Syariah taught me the intersection of social development and economic empowerment. Assisting 25+ customer businesses wasn't just about financial literacy—it was about understanding the social and cultural factors that influence economic behavior. This experience reinforced my belief that sustainable change requires both individual and systemic approaches.

The Power of Research and Writing

Through my work with Sociology Perspective and various research projects, I discovered the power of translating complex sociological concepts into accessible content. Creating 20+ pieces of educational content and conducting research on sensitive topics like sexual harassment taught me that communication is just as important as analysis.

Looking Forward

As I continue to grow in this field, I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Whether it's conducting research, developing community programs, or creating educational content, I'm committed to using sociological insights to address pressing social issues.

The journey from student to professional has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. Each experience has reinforced my belief that sociology provides powerful tools for understanding and improving our world.
