A Journey of Growth Through My First English Interview
This was my first interview experience in English. At first, I was hesitant, but I decided to take the opportunity. Although the results were not as expected, the experience taught me to keep improving my skills, especially in English. Moreover, I am committed to never stop learning in everything I do.
As a graduating student, you will inevitably move on to the next stage: seeking employment. Most available jobs require relevant skills that can be applied within a company. These skills come in many forms, one of the most important being English proficiency. As we know, English is a universal language that has become essential to master in today’s world.
My first English interview was a truly memorable and valuable experience. I learned a lot through writing, listening, and reading in English. Of course, it wasn’t easy because it required thorough and consistent preparation. From the initial test to the interview, everything was conducted in English. With determination and commitment, I decided to give it a try. At first, I felt hesitant to go through all the stages, but eventually, I passed, even though it wasn’t perfect. During the interview, I had to answer questions in English. My fear gradually faded as I was able to understand and respond.
This experience strengthened my commitment to never stop learning, especially in English. I also realized how essential English skills are, not only for interviews but also for my future. Furthermore, I’ve learned that it’s important to develop relevant skills for the job. We shouldn’t rely solely on what we learn in class; instead, we should also explore and acquire additional skills outside the classroom. This will make us stronger candidates and greatly increase our chances of being accepted into a company.
